Together, we set out to transform one of Australia’s most iconic desserts — the Strawberry Watermelon Cake — into something new. A candle that carries not only its fragrance, but its feeling.


From Cake to Candle

Dubbed “the world’s most Instagrammed cake” by The New York Times, Black Star Pastry’s Strawberry Watermelon Cake is instantly recognisable — layers of almond dacquoise, rose-scented cream, crisp watermelon, and a crown of strawberries and pistachios.

We wanted to capture that same moment of delight: the first bite, the laughter shared, the sunlight on the table.
The result is a scent that feels like a memory — light, juicy, floral, and a little nostalgic.
