Designed for generous bowls of noodles, broths and everyday comfort meals, this ceramic bowl brings together utility and quiet detail. Two small rests near the rim are shaped to hold chopsticks neatly in place, making the piece feel considered in use as much as in form. A practical object for slow meals at home, finished with a soft speckled surface that sits effortlessly within the table.

About the Artist
Kura Studio is a multi-disciplinary practice based in Perth, Western Australia, founded by Anika and Serena. Their work spans handmade objects, curated goods and garden design, exploring ways of living, working and consuming more mindfully.
At the heart of the studio is a belief that the home is an intimate reflection of self, one that can be both practical and beautiful. Through small-batch ceramics, everyday objects and native habitat-friendly gardens, Kura Studio creates work that is intuitive, intentional and quietly playful in its presence.
Kura Studio was founded as a practice grounded in making and designing with care. Their ceramic and object work brings together utility, warmth and a thoughtful sense of everyday ritual.
Alongside handmade products, Anika and Serena also curate a considered range of specialty objects sourced from near and far, chosen to sit naturally within daily life.
The name Kura comes from the Indonesian word kura-kura, meaning tortoise, reflecting a slower and more intentional pace. This philosophy continues to shape the studio’s approach to both objects and gardens.
